November Doll Club Doll

Verna is finished for the doll club challenge.  She seems to be such an easy doll, however, with all of her parts and pieces is was difficult for me.  And the glue did not adhere to her hair so I had to do it several times.  But, taa daaaaa - here she is,  my sweet garden miss with ruby slippers:

She was kind of fun to do with the different colors and patterns.  I don't care for the bead jointed arms and legs - there is not much control of her presentation.  Her feet and hands go every which way!  And she is not very good at sitting!!
Despite all of my complaints about this doll I did make two of them.  This Verna and my leaf fairy.
                                                        I do like their faces.

I think it is the big eyes that appeal to me.

Hoffman Challenge 2013

Woohoo!  I received notice today that the Hoffman Challenge 2013 fabric is available at Quilt Kits Online and I have ordered the challenge fabric!  I have no idea what kind of doll I will make.  The fabric has not "spoken" to me from the pictures I have seen of it.  When I see it and feel it, I am sure it will SPEAK and a doll will come forth!!

Dresses for a Princess

Finished my project of converting 'onsies' to be wearable for a tall girl.  The shirts were the right size but the onsie was too short.  So..................

By adding a skirt to the cut off shirts - voila!  A cute dress fit for a princess!

And my princess loved them.
Just add leggings and the dresses will last all winter.
I've got one more 'onsie' to convert.  This is so much fun!
