Panda Lee

Panda Lee came home with me from March Doll Club for arms and legs.  Here she is before arms and legs.

She has a gorgeous pink bag and a colorful journal with lots of pictures of panda bears.  Panda Lee is a farm girl from Southeast China.

I researched southeast China and panda bears to add more panda bear information to her story journal.  For nearly three weeks Panda Lee stared at me trying to communicate what she needed for arms and legs.  The body material was heavy and I had no fabric that was even close.  I chose to use Kona cotton in a neutral peachy color for arms and legs.  She really seemed more of a rag doll than a gal with separate fingers.

Looks like she is ready to run and play with the panda bears and give them a big hug!

Oh!  I almost forgot -

Panda Lee was signed by her originator Susie Decker.

Happy Easter to one and all!

My orange tree lost all of its leaves so I added bunnies and eggs!

Gnome Home

Back in January our Doll Club challenge was to make a house.
Make a house, any house.  The inspiration was from a magazine article one of us had seen.
My house was a whimsical mushroom shaped house. My inspiration was from a greeting card.
Susie, the gnome lady, made a gnome to stand by the front door.

He is so cute!  She made him out of wood with paint.
What fun we have at Doll Club!!
